Change Password Expiry Notice Period With Regedit

Here is the registry tweak to change your password expiry notice period..

In earlier versions of Windows, the default interval that

users were notified of password expiration was 14

days before expiration but in windows7 & server 2008

R2 the default password expiry notice occurs 5 days

before the password expiration date.

But Don't worry you can change it just follow the steps

Steps:

1. open registry editor (for open registry editor goto

    run type regedit)

2. Locate

       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

3. At right side you will find PasswordExpiryWarning just double         click it & change the period...
